Brian Smith

Brian is the Director of Marketing for AwayFind, where he helps businesses and consumers of AwayFind’s email productivity platform to get away from their inbox while still being responsive to the urgent emails they need. Before this, he spent the past 15 years in direct marketing creating the kinds of emails people want to read—instead of the kind they want to get away from their inbox to avoid.
And people do want to read email. No really! Some emails at least. Brian passionately believes it’s a marketer’s job to create emails that people do want to read. And whether it be for a multi-national conglomerate or a favorite shop right down the street, he loves any email campaign that is dedicated to results.
Oh, and he has a life too…running the mountains of Colorado with family and dogs, making grilled cheese sandwiches and doing occasional stand-up comedy in Denver. Brian graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and worked for a venture capital group for a few years before becoming obsessed with marketing.
