RECAP – SEO Live Demonstration

The Digital World Expo Hall featured an Interactive SEO exhibit which was a mixture of part classroom, part question and answer session. The exhibit is where top SEO speakers from around the country came to help attendees better understand how each of their site components effects their site placements in search engines.

The exhibit was broken down into the subject matter areas typical of SEO such as Content, Onsite, Link, and Social Optimization with a closing discussion on site vulnerabilities and Blackhat Attacks.

Matt Tuens of AcuVox spoke about how content alone can not only bring you better SEO value, but increase your ROI and time on site and customer retention. Afterward he spent time assisting attendees with their questions and went over the ABC’s of taking your content from boring copy to viral link bait.

Kristine Schachinger of SitesWithoutWalls.com discussed everything from how to write a metatag, to how the very structure of your site and Google page speed scores can help in determining top page placement.

Brent Payne, formerly of Tribune Media and now of BaldSEO.com, taught everyone how to control user conversations with Twitter and Facebook and of the importance of social links when ranking your site.

The final speaker, Gary Shannon of Drop Bear showed everyone how important it is to understand how someone with poor intent can exploit your site for rankings, sales or generally attack your site without you even knowing.

The attendees who visited the Interactive SEO exhibit were very engaged, asked questions, took notes and probed the speakers for answers to their own long standing SEO issues. Overall, the SEO exhibit was a lot of fun as people exchanged ideas and attendees were able to get their deeper SEO questions answered by some of the best SEOs in the field.
